WILDLIFE FOOD PLOT SEED PROGRAM
The Lawrence County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD),  and Quail Unlimited try to sponsor the wildlife food plot program each spring.  This program continues to be a successful wildlife food and cover development effort that has approval of both landowners and sportsman alike.

The bags of seed, which contain different mixtures each year could contain corn, soybeans, grain sorghum, buckwheat, sunflower, hybrid pearl millet, proso millet, and korean lespedeza.

The seeds have been treated with insecticide or fungicide.  It is not to be used in bird feeders.  It is recommended that it be planted in odd areas not intended for agriculture purposes.

Anyone interested in receiving wildlife food plot seed should contact Marsha Ralston, SWCD Coordinator, at
marsha.ralston@in.nacdnet.net,  or call 812-279-8117, ext. 3, to put your name on the list.  Marsha will contact everyone on the list before announcing to the public in the local newspaper and on the radio.

A Special Thank You to Quail Unlimited for their help this Year!
